Harper and Kat recently flew to London to record the 3-day Desertfest in Camden. The festival featured our desert brothers, Unida, Fatso Jetson, and Yawning Man. Other personal favorites included Color Haze, Truck Fighters, and Mars Red Sky. John Tinline, form Encore PA, provided a 48 channel protools system for the recording. Harper will be mixing the project on the Sphere Eclipse C at Thunder-Underground. Look for a release on vinyl soon!!!
Portland’s hottest band, Black Pussy was recently in the desert tracking a new release for Made In China Records. The Vinyl release is scheduled later this summer and will be followed up with extensive touring. The bands founder, Dustin Hill, came to the desert to work with Artist and Producer, Brant Bjork. Harper Hug and Trevor Whatever, engineered the project and were assisted by Adrian Medal. The record was tracked to tape at Brant’s private ranch studio and is going to be mixed on Thunder-Undergrounds new Sphere Eclipse C mixing console!
Gary Arce(Yawning Man/ Fatso Jetson) was recently in the studio working on his latest collaboration with Sera Timms(Black Math Horseman). The result is ZUN, a blend of Sera’s unique vocals, Gary’s signature guitar sound, and thundering drums by Bill Stinson. The track was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Harper Hug at Thunder-Underground in Palm Springs. Check out the awesome review at The Oblelisk
